Welcome to ANURA day and night walks in La Fortuna – A Wildlife Refuge in Restoration.

Just 10 minutes from La Fortuna, Costa Rica, we invite you to exploring and experiencing the unique biodiversity of this magical place.

Since January 2023, ANURA has been undergoing a restoration process. Part of the property was an active yucca farm, while the other section was a cacao plantation that had been abandoned for about 12 years. Thanks to our efforts, ANURA is now transforming into a wildlife refuge.

The park spans 3.8 hectares, with trails designed for the comfort and safety of the whole family. ANURA is perfect for those wanting to explore nature in a peaceful and educational way.

During your visit, you’ll find a vibrant lake filled with life, from fish to caimans; our secondary forest is home to sloths, and you’ll have the chance to observe various plants and bird species, fascinating insects, iconic red-eyed tree frogs, and amazing reptiles.

At ANURA, we follow responsible resource management practices, which is why we don’t use feeders or attractants for animals, ensuring we don’t disrupt the natural flow of life in the area.
